Here are some interesting facts about Batman:
 
The bat symbol on Batman's chest has changed through out the
years. The first time we see it on the yellow ellipse was in
1964. And it was explained as being a target re-enforced with
armor for gunmen to aim at and not his head in the mid '80s.
In the early years of the Batman publication he used a
gun but also killed when necessary. That stopped when he shot some
monstrous giants to death. Subsequently this lead to a no killing
rule that later turned to one of Batman's most notable character
traits. Batman never kills and never uses a gun. Just remember,
when you are rounding out your favorite Bat-gadgets remember to
include the Bat-Gun.
When Batman was created the main influence for his character was
The Mark of Zorro.
The very first vehicle introduced was not the famed Bat-mobile but
a Bat-plane.
